OAKLAND, Calif., and NORWELL, Mass. — Bluestone Energy Services LLC, a provider of energy conservation, engineering, and project development services for commercial and industrial clients, announced that it is formally rebranding itself as the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Division of OpTerra Energy Services.
Founded in 1990, Bluestone Energy Services supplies its energy conservation engineering and project development services for commercial and industrial customers across the country and is a preferred energy efficiency service provider for a number of leading utilities, including National Grid, Eversource, BG&E, Con Edison, and ComEd. The company was acquired in 2011 by the OpTerra group as part of its strategic expansion, designed to integrate market-leading energy efficiency service providers in order to provide a comprehensive set of energy conservation, renewable energy, and combined heat and power generation solutions to public and private sector customers throughout the United States.
“OpTerra has established itself as a leader in providing energy services across the country,” said Ryan Blair, president of the C&I Division of OpTerra. “By leveraging the robust support and increased capacity of the unified OpTerra organization, we are well-positioned to continue expanding in the U.S. while still providing the outstanding turnkey energy solutions that have been the hallmark of our success for more than 25 years.”
OpTerra’s C&I Division will continue to be led out of its Norwell, Massachusetts, office and provide customized turnkey energy efficiency services to ensure growth, longevity, and secure standing for customers in their respective markets. Existing customers will continue to work with the same engineers and project managers across 27 field offices, while gaining access to a wide variety of energy efficiency and renewable resources throughout the country.
“We are excited to formally bring Bluestone Energy Services under the OpTerra brand,” said John Mahoney, chief executive officer of OpTerra. “The combined depth and experience will enable OpTerra to further expand our offerings and solution set to our broad and diverse base of customers and partners. We look forward to significant growth from our C&I Division and continued success under our unified branding.”
