Smith has 18 years of professional experience in public relations, marketing, and communications. She began her career with the state of Kansas, where she was involved in the promotion of economic development opportunities to businesses across the U.S. In 1997, Smith relocated to Iowa to work for the MidAmerican Energy Co., developing and implementing a variety of partnership marketing programs.
Most recently, Smith was responsible for direct marketing initiatives at Dice Inc. where she was a marketing manager providing multifaceted direct marketing initiatives, including direct mail, direct marketing, and integrated online advertising.
At Industry People Group, Smith will provide strategic marketing direction and produce integrated business-to-business marketing programs designed to increase revenue and strengthen the MEPatWORK.com brand.
Smith is a member of the American Marketing Association where she leads the Direct Marketing Special Interest Group (SIG) of the Iowa Chapter.
