The Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) has announced a new feature at its PrimeNet Web site (www.ariprimnet.org). PrimeNet users can now search and download individual listings of performance ratings for all ARI-certified equipment for free.

“These downloadable Adobe PDF files are updated weekly,” said Zubin Dastoor, ARI’s director of certification programs. “Visitors will always find the most up-to-date information about ARI's product performance ratings.

“PrimeNet provides accurate real-time information that is more economical than printing paper directories and it allows users to define search parameters and quickly access information.”

The association says that PrimeNet contains the online versions of all ARI directories, including:

  • Unitary Directory;

  • Applied Directory;

  • Air-to-Air Energy Recovery Ventilation Equipment;

  • Automatic Commercial Ice-Cube Machines and Ice Storage Bins;

  • Direct Geoexchange Heat Pumps;

  • Drinking-Water Coolers;

  • Refrigerant Recovery/Recycling/Reclamation Equipment; and

  • Transport Refrigeration Units.

    Dastoor said that in addition to contractors, engineers, and manufacturers, many utility and government agency employees are using PrimeNet as well. “Utility personnel use the database to verify SEER ratings to see if a system qualifies for a rebate,” he noted.
