During the past year, Jakel has introduced a line of small, high-performance blowers featuring streamlined construction in one or two pieces, the company says. The simplified construction and reduced parts count are said to enhance blower reliability and assembly efficiency, to reduce assembly line labor by up to 50%.
“The purchasing arrangement with International Comfort Products represents $10 million annually in business for Jakel,” said John Kunze, vice president of business development. “We are thrilled to have this opportunity to demonstrate the quality of our products in such a large-scale production environment.”
Headquartered in Highland, IL, Jakel also has plants in Murray and Clinton, KY. Chicago, IL-based Code Hennessy & Simmons has been the firm’s parent company since 2000.
