Carrier Says Its Products Meet Or Exceed ASHRAE/IESNA Standard 90.1-1999
SYRACUSE, NY — Carrier Corp. announced it has commercial products in every hvacr category to meet or exceed the requirements of ASHRAE/IESNA Standard 90.1-1999, “Energy Standard for Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings.”
Developed jointly by the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA), and adopted by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), the standard is an update to building construction standards which cover all aspects of a building relating to energy, including insulation, lighting, hvac, and controls.
“Building owners, contractors and specifying engineers have been asking for more energy efficient products for sometime now,” said John Malloy, president of Carrier’s North American HVAC organization. “This year Carrier upgraded existing products, and launched new products, for its most efficient commercial products lineup ever. Every product category now contains products that meet or exceed Standard 90.1.”
