Thanks to the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors-National Association (PHCC), members of Congress are now a mouse click away - they can be contacted via PHCC's Web site at www.phccweb.org.

In the Fall 2003 edition of PHCC's Connection newsletter, Lake Coulson, PHCC's government relations vice president, noted, "Recently PHCC members have become more involved in legislative issues than ever before. This new Web-based government center allows them to easily contact their United States representatives on matters of vital interest to small business."

The service allows PHCC members to search for legislators by zip code, access a sample letter on a particular subject, revise the message if needed, and then mail or e-mail it to the representative.

The link also provides a relative ranking or vote score of each legislator based on actual votes taken of interest to the plumbing and heating industry during recent sessions of Congress.
