The three-day course teaches the concepts behind load calculation, equipment selection, duct design, and room air distribution. The design theory is then used as a foundation for hands-on training on computer-assisted system design software. An overview of the impact of the upcoming 13 SEER requirement on systems design has also been added to the course.

The class provides continuing education units plus 20 hours toward North American Technician Excellence (NATE) recertification.
Tuition for the course is $450 for ACCA members and $495 for nonmembers, which includes Manual J Eighth Edition, Manual D, and demo software.
