PRYOR, Okla. — RAE Corporation, a manufacturer of air conditioning, refrigeration, process cooling, and heat transfer coils, has agreed to purchase from Mestek the assets of King Coil, a leader in the industrial coil market.

Eric Swank, president and CEO of RAE Corporation, stated, “The fact that King Coil has dominated the stainless steel, carbon, and aluminum coil markets for a number of years is a huge plus for RAE Corporation. The King Coil acquisition allows RAE Corporation to continue its growth while focusing on the company’s core business, heat transfer.”

Swank added, “King Coil products carry the same reputation for exceptional craftsmanship and quality as our other RAE Corporation products. The acquisition of King Coil follows the tradition of RAE Corporation manufacturing — high-quality products for the air conditioning, refrigeration, industrial, and process cooling industries.”

Production of the new coil line will move to RAE Corporation’s current facility in the Mid America Industrial Park in Pryor, Okla. With the addition of its new 35,000-square-foot production area, the Pryor facility will include over 200,000 square feet of production, inventory, test, and office space. The new line will begin production in late 2003.

RAE Corporation currently markets products under four brands: Century Refrigeration, Refrigeration Systems, Technical Systems, and RAE Coils. King Coil is now its fifth brand.
