PALATINE, Ill. - The Schneider Electric North American Operating Division announced that Jim Pauley has assumed the role of vice chairman of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). In addition to his new role, Pauley will continue serving as vice president, industry and government relations, for Schneider Electric North American Operating Division.

Pauley has been involved in standards activities for more than 20 years, including 10 years with ANSI. He has also served in other industry organizations, including the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
At Schneider Electric, Pauley is responsible for directing company activities in all aspects of industry standards. He leads the conformity assessment strategy and implementation associated with company products, and is also responsible for company positions on policy issues at local, state, and national levels.
