Mark Gibson of Gibson’s Heating, Plumbing and Cooling of Waterloo, Ind., has been appointed to an open position on the Nexstar® board of directors.
Gibson started his business in a rural community north of Fort Wayne in 1983. He joined Nexstar in February 1994 and has since grown the business to 38 employees. He added a second company in propane distribution, starting in 2002, and now has nine employees. The Gibson company earned the Nexstar Select Service® seal of approval this year and has been the recipient of many Nexstar awards. His appointment to the board was due to a vacancy in the normally elected seat.
“I refer to Mark Gibson as the gentle giant,” said Nexstar’s CEO Greg Niemi. “Mark has extraordinary knowledge about running an HVAC business. Living and working in a small community of Waterloo, Gibson has perfected the art of community-based marketing. Everyone knows Gibson’s because he sponsors so much in Waterloo and his name is everywhere.” Mark Gibson said he is looking forward to the opportunity to give back to the organization he says he thanks for everything.
