ARLINGTON, Va., and ROCKVILLE, Md. - The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) and the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) have announced that the two organizations will hold their annual meetings at the same time and place in 2009, and the two meetings will share the trade show known as the Indoor Air Expo, doubling the expo in size and scope.
ACCA is a nationwide nonprofit trade association representing the business, technical, and policy interests of HVACR contractors. IAQA is a nonprofit professional organization dedicated to the exchange of indoor environment information through education and research.
The 2009 Indoor Air Expo will be held Feb. 24-26, 2009 at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas. At the same time, ACCA will conduct its 41st Annual Conference at the Convention Center, while IAQA will hold its 14th Annual Meeting across the street at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel.
Based on an analysis of recent shows conducted by ACCA and IAQA, it is expected that the 2009 Indoor Air Expo will draw more than 3,000 attendees and over 350 exhibitors.
According to Paul T. Stalknecht, ACCA president and CEO, “The Indoor Air Expo has grown significantly over the past few years in conjunction with the ACCA Conference. It has become the leading showcase of the HVACR industry, bringing suppliers together with contracting business decision-makers to share and learn from each other.”
He continued, “Bringing IAQA in to hold their meeting at the same time, and to co-sponsor the Expo, means that Fort Worth in 2009 will be the biggest source of education, networking, and learning opportunities ever seen in the indoor air industry. We are thrilled about the opportunities presented by this partnership for HVACR contractors, suppliers, and IAQ professionals nationwide.”
Glenn Fellman, IAQA executive director, added, “This is a partnership that is fully consistent with the mission of IAQA, which is to bring together the diverse professions and trades that make up the indoor environmental industry. We are excited about the new opportunities for our members and exhibitors, and we believe Fort Worth 2009 will go down as a landmark moment in the IAQ industry and profession.”
Prior to the 2009 meeting, the 2008 Indoor Air Expo will be held in conjunction with the 40th Annual ACCA Conference, February 5-7, 2008 at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colo.
