Johnson Controls: Energy Recovery Ventilators
A line of German-engineered energy recovery ventilators (ERVs) has high-performance, reliable motors that are maintenance-free. The Insert Slide and Fix (ISF™) 6-inch diameter collar system is quick and easy to install and designed to be installed by one person. Features include easy manipulation of ductwork, simple control panels, a lubricated permanent split capacitor motor, sloped drain pan, patent-pending DuoTrol™ balancing system, and backward inclined blades. The heat recovery core acts as a noise attenuator when outside air is pushed through the heat exchanger, for quiet operation. Two operating modes (intermittent and continuous) combine with the variable-speed and proportional evacuation defrost capability. The recirculation mode enables the unit to have an auxiliary air supply for better air quality without unpleasant odors. One ERV produces an airflow of 30-160 cfm, while the other generates an airflow of 50-220 cfm.
