FARMINGTON, Conn. - Carrier Corp. has appointed Robert (Bob) J. McDonough as president of its Residential and Light Commercial Systems (RLCS) business. McDonough replaces Halsey Cook, who is leaving Carrier. McDonough will be based in Farmington and report to Geraud Darnis, Carrier president.
“Bob has a wealth of experience and a successful track record in our industry,” said Darnis. “Carrier’s leadership in this segment is built on a long history of product innovation, strong brand portfolio, excellent distribution, and the best people in the industry. I am confident Bob will lead the business to the next level of excellence.”
McDonough, 48, has 26 years of general management, sales, and marketing experience. He served most recently as president, RLCS Distribution and Aftermarket. Before joining Carrier, McDonough spent 16 years with Lennox International where he most recently held the position of president and chief operating officer of Worldwide Heating & Cooling as well as executive vice president of Lennox International. Previously, he was president, Worldwide Refrigeration and International Operations.
