NORWALK, Conn. - Emcor Group Inc. recognized a number of its subsidiaries for their achievement of safety and service excellence with its 60 Safety and Craftsman awards presented at the company’s 2007 Management Conference in Dallas.

Some safety milestones include: the entire company worked 35 million more labor hours in 2006 than in 1999 without any increase in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recordable accidents; it reduced overexertion type injuries by 32 percent over a 24-month period ending June 2007; its employees of Design Air have worked accident-free for more than 27 years on its Port of Seattle projects; and many more.
