MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - The Ethernet Alliance University
Program (EAUP) welcomed new members, including Arizona State University, Columbia
University, Eastern Illinois University, Institute Industrial IT, Information
Technology Experiential Learning Lab (ITELL) Instructional Networking Labs
(Syracuse University), Johns Hopkins University, Pennsylvania State University,
Universiti Malaysia Perlis, and the University of Southern California.
“I am proud to welcome all of our new academic members to
the Ethernet Alliance University Program,” said Val Oliva, chair, EAUP.
The EAUP also extended the deadline for its first annual
White Paper Challenge Program, to Feb. 28, 2008. The winning university and
student representative will be awarded a cash prize and will have the
opportunity to present the paper at Interop Las Vegas, April 27-May 2, 2008.
The EAUP White Paper Challenge Program is open to both
undergraduate and graduate students of universities that are members of the
EAUP. Membership is free to accredited universities.
“Our goal in the EAUP is to bridge the academia with the
industry by encouraging collaboration, and our White Paper Challenge Program
helps with our goal,” said Oliva. “We encourage all of our EAUP student members
to become involved with our White Paper Challenge Program.”
