NEW YORK - Marko Bruinsma, president of Testo, provided information regarding his company’s newest piece of equipment, the Testo 880 Thermal Imager, at a press conference during the 2008 Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition.
According to Bruinsma, the imager allows the technician to see beyond the range of visible light and to capture images of object temperature. “Even though infrared energy is outside the visible range, the 880 Thermal Imager detects infrared signatures and enables you to see temperatures displayed in real-time images,” he said.
The featured instrument is designed to display hidden problems in an HVAC system, record thermal and optional visual images, and generate customer reports.
