Midwest Tool & Cutlery Co.: Shear, Utility Snip
Knifti-Cut™ shop/electrician shear and utility snip is a compact multipurpose snip that features needle-nose blades that provide ready access to confined areas and a full 2-inch cut length. Its compact size fits comfortably in the hand, making it handy and easy to use, says the company. Textured plastisol grips comfort the hand and provide a no-slip grip. It can be used to perform tasks such as shearing sheet metal, vinyl, plastic, packaging, cardboard, canvas, and paper; snipping soft wire, wire mesh, strapping, and cable ties; and stripping coated/insulated wire. The tool’s hot drop-forged blades are manufactured of high carbon steel for strength, durability, and long-lasting cutting edge. According to the company, hot-drop forged blades make it tough enough to readily cut sheet metal. Rated cutting capacities are 26-gauge cold rolled sheet metal; 18-gauge copper wire; and 22-gauge soft steel wire.
