According to the company, the AcadiaT will reduce overall energy consumption along with heating and cooling costs by more than 20 percent annually. The system will also increase the overall comfort of the homes. “We are passionate about what we do and want to continue to develop technologies that will aid in protecting our planet and are within reach to consumers,” said Duane Hallowell, president and CEO of Hallowell International. The system will be installed by United Communities LLC, the owner of the Military Housing Privatization Project at Fort Dix/McGuire. As a patented, next generation heat pump, the AcadiaT employs a patented Opti-Cycle booster that enables it to run efficiently in temperatures as cold as –30°F.
