ARLINGTON, Va. - The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) has released a new three-disc computer video training package on basic financial management for HVACR contractors.
According to ACCA, “Finances for Contractors: Getting, Understanding and Using Your Financial Data to Make Good Business Decisions” offers comprehensive instruction aimed specifically at contractors on interpreting and using their financial data to maintain cash flow, increase profits, make decisions about growth, and plan their ultimate exit strategy.
“Finances for Contractors” is presented by Skip Snyder of The Snyder Company, a successful contractor from Pennsylvania who is a past chairman of ACCA. Recognizing that contractors do not need to be accountants or bookkeepers, Snyder breaks through the financial jargon to share with contractors exactly what they need to run a profitable business.
Each CD in the set includes the computer presentation as well as handouts and example worksheets. Among the topics covered on the set are:
• Financial basics
• Financial statements (balance sheet, profit and loss statements)
• Important financial ratios
• Job costing
• Bankers and lenders
• Cash flow
• Internal controls
• Growth and funding
• Exit strategies and retirement
“Finances for Contractors” is the latest in ACCA’s “Business Toolbox” series of CD training packages.
The three-CD set is now available for purchase from ACCA at www.acca.org/store (look under “New Products from ACCA” or “Training CDs & DVDs”) or by calling 888-290-2220. ACCA members save $100 off the list price.
