SARASOTA, Fla. - Clockwork Home Services is giving back to the communities that the company and its franchisees serve through regular charitable giving and volunteering. Throughout 2007 and the first quarter of 2008, Clockwork demonstrated its commitment to the communities it serves at both the corporate level and within its franchises across the United States.
For example, employees at Clockwork’s headquarters provided money and purchased needed supplies for three local families at the Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center. The company’s One Hour franchisee in Aberdeen, Md., has been active with the Harford Habitat for Humanity for over 12 years, installing HVAC systems in 15 homes to date. Most recently, the franchisee and its employees committed to donating a complete complementary HVAC installation in one house per year.
This past year, the Youngtown, Ariz., franchisee worked with the local Girl Scout Troop to send Girl Scout Cookies to soldiers overseas. Clockwork’s Benjamin Franklin Plumbing franchisee is an official donation center for Packages From Home. This is a nonprofit organization that sends care packages to U.S. troops around the world.
Its Benjamin Franklin Plumbing franchisee in Pompton Lakes, N.J., actively supports “Autism Speaks,” an organization that is dedicated to increasing the awareness of autism and funding autism research. The franchise owners pledged donations for every plumbing repair over $100, and as a result, logged over 300 calls in one month, helping them donate over $4,500 to the charity.
“We created Clockwork and its franchise companies with the idea of providing our customers with the best possible service, resulting in the best possible experience. Part of this experience is reinforced through a positive association with our company and franchisees and communities across America,” said James Abrams, CEO, Clockwork Home Services Inc. “We believe that charitable giving is an excellent way to give back to the communities that we serve.”
