ARLINGTON, Va. - The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) announced that it is moving Sept. 8 to a new headquarters to accommodate the increased size of its staff resulting from a merger earlier this year. When the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) and Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association (GAMA) merged on Jan. 1 to become AHRI, the combined staff of the two organizations resulted in the need to relocate to larger office space.
The address of AHRI’s new headquarters is: 2111 Wilson Blvd., Suite 500, Arlington, VA 22201-3001. Staff telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, and Website address (www.ahrinet.org) will remain the same.
The new office is located in a building adjacent to the former GAMA headquarters and 1.5 miles from the former ARI headquarters in Arlington.
The space is large enough to accommodate not only AHRI’s staff of more than 60 employees, but also the seven-member staff of North American Technician Excellence (NATE). In its new space, AHRI said that the association and its architect, Washington, D.C.-based FORM Architecture + Design, made every effort to build a green workspace. Materials, products, and equipment were selected based on their efficiency, improvement to indoor air quality, low toxicity, and recycled content.
