ROCKVILLE, Md. - Dunbar Mechanical Inc., Toledo, Ohio, is the 100th service contractor to receive the MSCA STAR designation from the Mechanical Service Contractors of America (MSCA).

It is awarded to service contractors who have reached the highest level of quality in several critical areas. Before the STAR is awarded, applicants must demonstrate that they uphold a strict code of business ethics; employ a highly trained and qualified workforce; maintain a superior safety record; offer outstanding customer service; and focus on continuing education for all employees. STAR companies are also reviewed every five years to ensure the criteria are being maintained.

Founded in 1936 as a rural farm and residential contractor, the Dunbar Mechanical Service Group works throughout northwestern Ohio and southern Michigan, providing preventive maintenance and replacement of HVAC systems through a fleet of more than 30 service vehicles.

“Dunbar Mechanical has long been a supporter of MSCA and MCAA,” said Steve Dunbar, company president and CEO.

“We take pride in the talents and skills of our technicians. We are proud to achieve the MSCA STAR designation. It is a key component of Dunbar Mechanical’s strategy to be a provider of green mechanical services.”

All companies earning the MSCA STAR designation this year will be recognized at a special ceremony to take place during the upcoming MSCA annual educational conference, scheduled for Oct. 12–15 in San Antonio, Texas.
