The Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) has announced the names of members who were recently awarded Certificate Member Specialist (CMS) status this past September.
To obtain CMS status, a RSES member must first pass the Certificate Member (CM) examination. CMS status is earned by passing one or more of the eight specialist examinations available. Specialist exam categories include: commercial refrigeration, commercial air conditioning, heating, controls, domestic service, HVACR electrical, heat pumps, and dynamic compression.
The following RSES members from the North Central U.S. region passed a CMS exam in September 2008 and were awarded CMS status: Richard D. Wirtz, CMS, of the Columbus Chapter, Columbus, Ohio, passed the CMS exam in HVACR Electrical, and John B. Moxley, CMS, of the Greater Cincinnati Chapter, Cincinnati, passed the CMS exam in HVACR Electrical.
The CM/CMS exam series originated in 1935. For additional information, contact the Educational Branch of RSES by calling 800-297-5660 or 847-297-6464, or by faxing 847-297-5038.
