The line-of-sight LP tank monitor flashes twice rapidly, every 15 seconds, when an LP tank runs low (below a level of 20 percent). Coupled with a remote-ready LP tank dial, the monitor alerts the user that the tank is low on fuel and allows time to get more LP before it runs out. According to the manufacturer, the monitor is a simple, cost-effective solution to eliminate emergency calls. It can even be used for underground tanks that can be equipped with a remote-ready dial; the monitor is attached to a stake near the lid for underground tanks. The monitor is 12-inches tall in order to avoid snow cover. It securely clamps to the lifting lug of the tank. Each monitor is expected to have a service life of three years. When the battery runs low, the light flashes once every 15 seconds. The monitors are packaged in a 24-lot carton.
