ARLINGTON, Va. - The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) has announced a new benefit for members that will offer exclusive discounts on less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments.
ACCA has partnered with Yellow Roadway and YRC Regional Transportation (New Penn, USF Holland, and USF Reddaway) to provide members with access to 70 percent discounts on qualifying shipments.
“We discovered that over 700 of our members already have accounts with Yellow Roadway and their regional carriers, and most of them will save substantial amounts of money through this new partnership,” said Paul T. Stalknecht, ACCA president and CEO. “And companies using other carriers for their LTL freight needs will find this program well worth a look, as it may provide a substantial savings over their current arrangements.”
For example, one contractor member in Missouri spent $8,204 on shipments last year, and under this new program, the same shipments would cost only $2,461 - a savings of more than $5,700.
Another ACCA member, who has a 50 percent discount agreement with Yellow Roadway, spent $4,875 on shipments last year, and will save an additional $1,950 under the ACCA program.
Contractor members will have a number of choices with this new freight program:
Yellow Roadway provides ACCA members with a 70 percent discount on qualifying less-than-truckload freight shipments. With this benefit, members will save on long haul shipments. Members can also benefit with savings on shipments between the United States and Canada.
YRC Regional Transportation represents the individual carriers of New Penn, USF Holland, and USF Reddaway. These carriers offer short haul freight services with fast delivery and a 70 percent discount on qualifying regional shipments. This is the solution for members shipping within specific regions around the country.
“ACCA members who use freight shipping services will save thousands of dollars through this new program,” Stalknecht said. “It’s just one more evidence of the value ACCA is able to provide members through the power of our numbers.”
