The Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) has awarded Active Specialized Member (SM), Certificate Member (CM), and Certificate Member Specialist (CMS) honors to a number of persons in the southern United States.
The SM award, which allows RSES members to participate in the society’s Specialist examinations without having passed the Certificate Member examination, went to Stanley G. Domel of the Austin (Texas) Chapter for Heat Pumps and to Albert J. Kern of the San Gabriel Chapter, Georgetown, Texas, for Heat Pumps.
The CM recognition, based on passing an examination that tests the knowledge required to install and service refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, was awarded to Domel and Kern as well as to Jaroy A. Roberts of the Permian Basin Chapter, Odessa, Texas, and to Laron J. McCoy of the San Gabriel Chapter, Georgetown, Texas.
CMS status is earned by passing one or more of the eight Specialist examinations including commercial refrigeration, commercial air conditioning, heating, controls, domestic service, HVACR electrical, heat pumps, and dynamic compression.
The following RSES members from the South recently passed a CMS exam: Roger W. Raffaelo of the Central Florida Chapter, Orlando, Fla., in heat pumps, as well as Domel and Kern, also in heat pumps.
