Headquartered in Charlotte, N.C., Yandle-Witherspoon serves the Carolinas territory with 10 full stocking branches and a sheet metal/duct manufacturing facility. Yandle-Witherspoon said it added the GeoStar line to take advantage of rising consumer interest in geothermal heating and cooling.
“From a business perspective, this fits in with our strategy to offer a complete portfolio of HVAC coverage,” explained Phil Guy, sales manager at Yandle-Witherspoon. “We’ve seen a steady increase in demand for geothermal systems, especially with rising energy costs. Plus, with the government tax credits and utility incentives in place today, more and more contractors are getting inquiries from their customers. We added GeoStar so we can serve those contractors better and take advantage of the new growth opportunities in geothermal heating and cooling.”
The GeoStar product line includes the G Series geothermal heat pumps with units available from 2 to 6 tons, and up to 4.8 COP and 28.0 EER, plus console units and indoor and outdoor splits; and the Q Series all-in-one geothermal boiler, furnace, and air conditioner. All units are AHRI certified and Energy Star rated, as applicable.
