TAMPA, Fla. - The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) has announced that Ellis Guiles has been recognized with the association’s Distinguished Service Award.
Guiles, vice president of TAG Mechanical, Syracuse, N.Y., was selected for his extensive volunteer involvement in ACCA. The association noted that he serves on many ACCA committees, is a regular presenter at ACCA events and ComfortU webinars, and has testified on ACCA’s behalf at a U.S. House Small Business Committee hearing.
ACCA also noted that he is a strong supporter of green approaches to HVACR, educating others on holistic approaches to system design and having authored the book,LEED, Follow, or Get Out of the Way.
“We are truly a richer association because of Ellis’s contributions,” said Stan Johnson, ACCA chairman. “He has consistently been a go-to resource for ACCA’s leadership and staff, giving generously of his time and expertise to raise the bar of the HVACR contracting industry.”
Guiles was recognized at ACCA’s 42nd Annual Conference and Indoor Air Expo, held this week in Tampa, Fla. He was presented the award in front of contractor members at the association’s annual Town Hall Meeting.
The Distinguished Service Award is presented occasionally to an outstanding volunteer contributor to the association.
