WACO, Texas - Five franchise service brands with The Dwyer Group have joined together to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities with a national commitment of $125,000. Aire Serv, Glass Doctor, Mr. Appliance, Mr. Electric, and Mr. Rooter have united their franchise networks to support the charity.
“Our franchise brands know what it means to be of service so that customers can have peace of mind and focus on more important things,” said Dina Dwyer-Owens, CEO and chairwoman of The Dwyer Group. “That is why supporting the Ronald McDonald House Charities is a perfect fit to extend that message in another meaningful way.”
Ronald McDonald House Charities was established in 1984 in memory of McDonald’s founder and franchise icon Ray Kroc. The program includes a network of homes that offer rooms for families of pediatric patients under 21 years old. The Ronald McDonald House offers families a way to stay close to the hospital where their child is being treated by providing a place to stay at little or sometimes no cost. The houses are located around the world and are funded by community support.
In addition to the national commitment, Dwyer Group franchisees will look for ways to get involved on a local level with the Ronald McDonald House in their own communities.
