The Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) awarded RSES Certificate Member (CM) status to several members last month.
The following RSES members passed the latest CM exam and were awarded CM status: Jeffrey D. Weidenbener, CM, of the Indianapolis Chapter, Indianapolis; Charles A. Cooke, CM, of the Greater Chicago Chapter, Wheeling, Ill.; and John P. Nelson, CM, of the Elkhorn Chapter, Norfolk, Neb.
In order to become a CM, a RSES member must first pass a rigorous examination that tests the knowledge required to install and service refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. RSES notes that CM-level members are recognized industry-wide as having achieved a superior level of HVACR knowledge. The CM exam is based on theory and practical applications.
The Certificate Member and Certificate Member Specialist (CMS) exam series originated in 1935. The Active Specialized Member (SM) classification was introduced in September 2008.
