SALT LAKE CITY - Copley Corp. has merged with Current Electrical Systems of Sandy, Utah, to form the Reed Team Building Services Group, bringing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general contracting services together under one roof for businesses and individuals needing design, remodeling, or retrofit of their commercial, industrial, or residential facilities.

The Reed Team, headed by Manager Partner Whitey Reed, has assisted a variety of companies and individuals in Utah and surrounding regions with the design and build-out of their space. Clients include Snapp Conner PR, SkyMail International, The Cruise Lady, Deibold Inc., LeFavi Financial, Morgan Jewelers, NAI Utah Commercial Real Estate, Keller Williams Realty, Dance Concepts, Joshua Schiffman M.D., Jennifer Beck Schmidt D.O., and others.

Over the past 12 years, Kenneth Chapman, founder of Current Electrical Systems, has built that business from start-up to more than $1.2 million in commercial and residential sales. Clients include World Heart, American Canning, Village Homes, Wash Me of Utah, E Z Coin Laundry, and others.

Whitey Reed will direct office, sales, and marketing functions for the combined company while Kenneth Chapman directs field operations. The company also maintains a partnership with Vision Builders and Stallings Construction.

As a company increasingly involved with green energy sources, Reed Team Building Services Group has completed training and certification with Generac as a warranty, service, start-up and installation source for natural and LP gas, air and water-cooled generators. The company is also working with Honeywell to install and support wind turbines and solar (PV) panels and will be certified to provide these new products from Honeywell when they become available in July. The company is also an authorized supplier for the York HVAC Division of Johnson Controls and International Comfort Products.
