According to ABCO, the Baltimore-Washington, D.C., region accounts for over $500 million per year in HVACR business, and it sees the region as primed for growth as new generations of high-efficiency systems replace aging, inefficient systems. “Advances in technology are opening up new areas of profitability for local contractors. Our job is to help them take advantage of those opportunities,” said Paul Rebelo, executive vice president of ABCO HVACR Supply + Solutions.
The facility includes an ABCO University Continuing Education Center for contractors, architects, and engineers.
“We’re not just about selling parts and equipment,” said Rebelo. “We’re here to help expand knowledge. Keeping customers ahead of the curve in terms of design, engineering, and installation solutions adds to the profitability of their businesses. That can create jobs in the community, and can sow the seeds of productivity and growth.”
Rebelo explained why ABCO’s Jessup facility is sited where it is. “Quick access to Route 1, 95, 295, 175, and 32 makes for easier customer pickup and expanded delivery options. We even have a traffic light near the entrance making it faster and easier to turn. It’s also why ABCO will be carrying over $1.5 million in stocked inventory.”
