SAN DIEGO - Nu Flow announced that its Potable 7000 Water Piping Epoxy Coating System has received a PMG listing (PMG #1020) from ICC Evaluation Service LLC (ICC-ES), providing evidence that the epoxy used to coat the interior of existing galvanized steel pipe or copper rigid tube in pressurized potable water supply systems meets code requirements.
Building officials, architects, contractors, specifiers, designers, and others utilize the ICC-ES PMG (plumbing, mechanical, and fuel gas) listing to provide a basis for use of the Nu Flow 7000 System in construction projects under the 2009 International Plumbing Code® (IPC) and 2009 International Residential Code® (IRC). Products listed under the ICC-ES PMG program undergo evaluation based on requirements in such codes as the International Plumbing Code, International Mechanical Code, International Residential Code, International Fuel Gas Code, Uniform Plumbing Code, and Uniform Mechanical Code.
ICC-ES thoroughly examined Nu Flow’s product information, test reports, calculations, quality control methods, and other factors to ensure the product was code-compliant.
“Recently we have received two approvals for our Potable 7000 System. Obtaining our third, the PMG listing from ICC Evaluation Service, is yet another great milestone for Nu Flow and our technology,” said Cameron Manners, Nu Flow CEO.
