CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. - Delmar, part of Cengage Learning, has announced the release of its 2012 Significant Changes series. Created to support the 2012 I-Codes from the International Code Council (ICC), Delmar said the Significant Changes book series is designed to provide professionals with the information necessary to quickly identify and understand all of the critical updates to the 2012 Building and Life Safety Codes.
The Significant Changes series is made up of four titles:Significant Changes to the International Fire Code®,Significant Changes to the International Building Code®,Significant Changes to the International Residential Code®, andSignificant Changes to the International Plumbing Code, International Mechanical Code, and International Fuel Gas Code®. To help professionals efficiently navigate and understand key code changes, Delmar said the titles in the Significant Changes series clarify the text and feature complete details and full-color illustrations of significant changes that occurred between the 2009 codes and the recently released 2012 codes. Also, the books make certain to point out key code changes through clear notations, such as marking deleted code language with a strike-through and underlining new code text.
The ICC publishes updates to its I-Code series every three years, setting the standard for the building and life safety industries to help professionals remain code compliant. As with previous editions, Delmar is a leading distributor of the 2012 I-Codes making titles such as the 2012 International Building Code® and the 2012 International Residential Code® readily available. Other upcoming titles in the 2012 I-Code series will cover topics in the areas of fire, performance for building and facilities, existing buildings, mechanical, plumbing, fuel gas, and others.
“We are excited to have the ability to offer our customers both the comprehensive and updated 2012 I-Code series from the ICC and the straightforward, logically organized Delmar Significant Changes series,” said Greg Clayton, vice president, Delmar. “The Significant Changes series facilitates quick and accurate identification of key changes, to help building and life safety professionals easily access and understand the changes from the 2009 I-Codes. Coupled with the detailed, specific code requirements of the 2012 I-Codes, these books will provide professionals with all of the resources necessary to remain code compliant.”
