KU Solar is a combination of two Italian companies: Kloben and Universal. The company has established its U.S. headquarters in Kansas City, Mo.
The company offers proven technology, said Solger. Its solar air cooling system integrates solar evacuated tube collectors and hot water storage with absorption chillers. Its solar air heating incorporates hot water radiant heating.
As a backup when sufficient solar power can’t be generated, a system would typically have a tankless water heater or small boiler.
KU Solar has been certified by independent testing agencies in Europe. Solger also noted that the company’s solar evacuated tubes provide more surface area to collect sunlight than solar flat panels.
