It is a device permanently mounted at the drain on the air handler or the most conveniently located 90-degree turn in the drain line. Once installed, the technician can unscrew the O-ring sealed cap. Using the manufacturer’s service kit, the tech can use vacuum, water, or compressed gas to service the drain in minutes. According to the manufacturer, the service port can be utilized in both commercial and residential applications.
