ARLINGTON, Va. — Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) recently announced a partnership with the U.S. Department of Commerce’s U.S. Foreign and Commercial Service to create a formalized program that offers AHRI members improved access to U.S. and Foreign Commercial Services’ international trade resources. The New Market Export Initiative (NMEI) was developed to help U.S. manufacturers expand their export sales to new markets.

“We are pleased to be able to partner with the Department of Commerce to provide a new benefit to our members,” said Stephen Yurek, president and CEO, AHRI. “We hope this will serve as a valuable tool to our member companies looking to expand into new markets.”

Through the NMEI program, AHRI members may receive assistance in developing new contacts for business in foreign markets, and in securing export financing, guarantees, and credit insurance. Additionally, assistance on how to comply with regulatory and documentation requirements is also available.
