VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — American Mechanical Inc., a HVAC, plumbing, and electrical contractor, has announced that two of its technicians recently completed Generac generator training courses. Bill Siano and Steve Boyd attended the Generac Liquid Cooled Level I Training course. This three-day course with nightly homework and a final exam certification requires technicians to take a refresher course every two years to stay up-to-date on Generac generators and the latest technology.

“All of our generator installation technicians are Generac certified and Briggs and Stratton certified,” said Louise Gordon, vice president of operations for American Mechanical. “The Generac courses are developed by their training specialists and include learning modules which the technicians can use for future reference as needed.”

Siano and Boyd learned about a number of topics during the certification course, including electrical and generator theory, fuel and ignition system fundamentals, electrical safety and voltage regulation, use of schematics and wiring diagrams, and the operation, maintenance, and basic installation guidelines for Generac generators.
