Follett Corp.: Air- and Water-Cooled Condensing Ice Machines
December 17, 2012
The Horizon™ 700 Series has been added to the line of Chewblet® ice machines. The ice machines make up to 675 pounds of ice in a 24-hour period and are available in self-contained models with air- or water-cooled condensing. In addition, customers have their choice of Chewblet or Micro Chewblet ice. The ice machines are available as top-mount models, or with RIDE™ (remote ice delivery equipment). Ice machines with RIDE technology can deliver ice-through-a-tube up to 75 feet away. When an ice and beverage dispenser is automatically filled using RIDE technology, operators can save time and money by easily accessing the dispenser hopper for cleaning, and the heat, noise, and bulk of the ice machine can be removed from the customer area to provide an upscale drink station. The Horizon 700 Series uses natural resources efficiently, with air-cooled units requiring only 5.2 kWh and 12 gallons of water per 100 pounds of ice produced. The 22.6-inch-wide model can be placed on 22-inch dispensers, under counters, and on wall-mount brackets.
