The app was designed to allow home and business owners to remotely monitor and change their heating and cooling system. Whether a customer is using Honeywell’s proprietary RedLINK™ technology or one of its Wi-Fi enabled thermostats, he or she can remotely access features such as temperature, fan, and humidification/dehumidification from any web portal including computer, smartphone, or tablet. The app also allows building owners to better manage and potentially save on their energy consumption as well. In addition, a demo mode is available that allows consumers to experience how it works prior to buying and installing a thermostat.
Honeywell’s Total Connect Comfort has an overall consumer approval rating of 4.6. “We are extremely pleased with customer response to the Total Connect Comfort app,” said Brad Paine, director of product marketing at Honeywell. “Customers who have installed the app have rated it very high based on overall ease of installation and use. They also like the simple interface and the app’s ability to monitor the temperature while they are away from home and in additional buildings such as vacation homes and business properties. And as an added benefit, some of our customers are noticing savings in their energy consumption as well.”
Once a customer has installed a thermostat that is RedLINK or Wi-Fi enabled, they can then create their own Total Connect Comfort account at www.mytotalconnectcomfort.com and download the app through Google Play or iTunes.
