PHOENIX — Chas Roberts Air Conditioning & Plumbing is one of only eight companies to be selected as a recipient of the 2013 IMPACT Award from the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce. Other organizations receiving this honor include the Arizona Diamondbacks, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Grand Canyon University, the Fiesta Bowl, and GlobalMed. These awards celebrate the impact these companies are having on the area’s business community and economy.

Chas Roberts is receiving the Chamber’s IMPACT Award in the category of Response to Adversity in the Large Business Category (more than 250 employees). Chas Roberts successfully weathered the housing market crash and economic downturn only to come out stronger on the other side. “We are overjoyed to be receiving this distinguished honor from the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, and to be in the company of other such highly-regarded companies,” said Chas Roberts CEO Sissie Roberts Shank. “We are proud to have played a role in the revival of the Valley’s economy and strengthening of this community that Chas Roberts has called home for more than 70 years.”

Chas Roberts is one of the largest residential HVAC providers in Arizona, servicing individuals and new home builders throughout the Phoenix area, Tucson, and the Albuquerque/Santa Fe area. In 2012, the company added plumbing services to its offerings.

In previous years, Chas Roberts has been a finalist for the Better Business Bureau Business Ethics Award; ranked in the Top 5 of Arizona Business Magazine’s Ranking Arizona listing for four years; named Most Admired Company in the privately-owned business category in Arthur Andersen’s Arizona 100 list; and named by the Phoenix Business Journal as one of the Top 100 privately held companies.

Chas Roberts will receive the IMPACT Award at the Chamber’s 26th annual IMPACT Awards luncheon on Tuesday, May 14 at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa.
