Timothy Todd Walter, age 55, of Jackson Township, Ohio, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the Cleveland Clinic after a long illness.
Walter was born April 3, 1958 in Akron, Ohio, the son of the late Carl Walter and Jenifer (Bellenir) Chapko. He was a retired pipefitter with Local #219. Tim was a member of St. Anthony’s in Canton. He loved to fish and spend time with his eight grandchildren.
He was active in industry associations including was president of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) Akron Canton Chapter.
Walter is survived by his wife of 33 years, Heidi Walter; sons, Kyle (Annie) Walter and Jonathan (Jeska) Walter; daughter, Rachel Walter; grandchildren, Grace, Alex, Mary Claire, Joey, Tommy, Cecilia, Teresa, and Jude. He will also be missed by stepfather, Joe Chapko; brothers, Larry (Jennifer) Henderson, Carl (Suki) Walter, and John (Pat) Walter; sisters, Donna Nolan, Linda (John) Manka, and Jill Weingart; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Walter.
A memorial mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at St. Anthony’s. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Walter’s honor to von Hippel-Lindau Family Alliance — www.vhl.org. Condolences may be left at www.heitger.com.
