MOUNT LAUREL, N.J. — The National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) and the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) have entered into a multifaceted agreement that marks the beginning of several long-term cooperative programs.
The two associations will work together to provide educational opportunities and resources to professionals in the industry. This will include cross promoting webinars, trainings, and workshops to each of the associations’ members. Additionally, each association has committed to supporting each others’ respective conferences and events.
“We’re excited to partner with IAQA and offer our members additional resources that will help grow their businesses,” said Jodi Araujo, NADCA executive director.
NADCA members will have access to a specially packaged group of online education classes from IAQA that will be priced at a deep discount, the organizations said. NADCA will recognize these online classes for CEC fulfillment at the time of certification renewal.
“Members of both IAQA and NADCA will benefit from the new partnership,” said Glenn Fellman, executive director, IAQA. “NADCA members will have access to IAQA University online classes which will certainly encourage more industry professionals to maintain their NADCA certification. IAQA members will be connected to the world’s best HVAC system cleaning and inspection contractors, including access to NADCA educational programs, publications, and more.”
On a local level, IAQA chapters are preparing to focus on HVAC system cleaning at upcoming workshops, relying on NADCA members’ expertise to teach about the nuances of NADCA’s recently released standard, ACR 2013.
Araujo said 2014 is going to be a productive year for the organizations.
“We will be exhibiting and presenting at each other’s annual meetings, and we will continue to work together to provide our respective members the educational tools and benefits to help them save money and be more effective in their marketplaces,” he said.
