Due to the increased globalization of the construction industry, HRAI and CIPH said they recognize the need to provide their respective members with access to timely information, data, and technical advancements to succeed in this new global marketplace.
The MOU was signed by David Morden, chairman of HRAI, and John Hammill, chairman of CIPH, on June 18 during CIPH’s annual meeting. An essential component of the MOU provides ways for the two organizations to work cooperatively with government authorities and code bodies on regulatory and policy issues that affect both the HVACR and plumbing industries and review common priorities annually.
“This MOU will help promote and facilitate mutual cooperation and assistance between HRAI and CIPH by providing services to their respective members relating to the North American market for residential and commercial HVACR and plumbing equipment,” Morden said.
As part of the agreement, HRAI and CIPH will work cooperatively to exchange information on pertinent issues via publications, reports, association conferences, and industry meetings as well as promote educational opportunities for their members to learn about technological advancements in the design and manufacture of plumbing and heating products and systems.
