The QwikSEER+™ is an enhancement to existing air conditioning and heat pump systems with Permanent Split Capacitor (PSC) motors, the company said. The easily installed QwikSEER+WattSaver™ control board monitors evaporator coil temperature and humidity levels; the QwikSEER+ then automatically selects the optimal blower speed based on those conditions. It works with existing system hardware to automatically adjust the airflow of the air conditioner or heat pump to maximize performance, increase humidity removal, and save energy. By connecting the optional humidity sensor (QT6001), the QwikSEER+ control board will also optimize the system for fastest humidity removal during high-humidity situations. The control’s design incorporates high-voltage electrical protection for voltage spikes.
