RSES has presented Certificate Member (CM) and Certificate Member Specialist (CMS) certificates to members who passed exams to attain such recognition. Included were a number from the South.

Gaining CM status were Randy Allen, John Clancy, and Rafael Rodriguez of the San Gabriel Chapter, Georgetown, Texas; Jeremie Abercrombie, James Chambers, Austin Wheeler, and Eric Cook of the Middle Tennessee Chapter, Nashville, Tenn.; Tony Greene and Mark Miles of Music City Chapter, Nashville, Tenn.; Darryl Adams, Paul Foden, and Robert Whyte of the Central Florida Chapter, Orlando, Fla.; Steve Chadwick and Jeffrey Howell of the Piedmont Chapter of Charlotte, N.C.; and Michael Harmon of the Triad Chapter, Greensboro, N.C.

Earning CMS status was Carter Stanfield of the Athens (Ga.) Chapter who passed the exam in HVACR electrical.

The CM and CMS exam series originated in 1935. RSES is an education, training, and certification association for HVACR professionals. RSES credentials include its Active Specialized Member, Certificate Member and Certificate Member Specialist categories, as well offering the EPA Section 608 certification programs. Founded in 1933, RSES is a non-profit organization of more than 11,000 members in nearly 150 chapters in the U.S. and Canada, as well as affiliate organizations worldwide.
