ARLINGTON, Va. — The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) is seeking nominations for its Contractors of the Year awards. Applications for the program will be accepted until Sept. 30.
“Last year, more contractors than ever applied to be considered for these prestigious awards and we expect the same thing this year,” said Melissa Broadus, director of communications, ACCA. “Since the competition is so tight, we are again starting the application process early. This allows contractors enough time to compile all the necessary information to tell their company’s unique story and for the judges to have enough time to review the applications and make the tough decision.”
To be considered for the awards, contractors must be an ACCA member in good standing for at least three years and must complete the online application.
The ACCA Contractors of the Year awards program provides ACCA members with a unique marketing opportunity for their businesses. Not only will the winning contractors be honored at ACCA 2014 in Nashville, Tenn., by their peers, but this is a great opportunity for them to tout their company’s accomplishments and show that they are recognized leaders in the industry to their customers, said Broadus.
Once the nomination deadline has passed, all nominees will be evaluated and six finalists will be selected — three residential and three commercial contractors. The finalists will be contacted to create information profiles for inclusion in the official judging packet.
These profiles will describe the company, as well as the unique aspects of the business. The official judging packets, including the six write-ups, will be judged by a panel of ACCA’s past chairmen. The winners, one residential and one commercial, will be recognized on stage at the annual ACCA conference. For more information or to access the online nomination form, visit www.contractors
