ARLINGTON, Va. — The Air Conditioning Contractors of America Educational Institute (ACCA-EI) Standards Task Team (STT) announced an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) public review period for its BSR/ACCA 12 QH -201x, “Home Evaluation and Performance Improvement” as a revised industry standard.

The public review period has a comment deadline of Sept. 30.

This revised standard provides minimum criteria by which deficiencies in existing residential buildings are identified by audit, improvement opportunities are assessed, scopes of work are finalized, work is performed in accordance with industry recognized procedures, and improvement objectives were met.

Changes to the current standard are indicated in the text by underline for additions and strikethrough for deletions. Notes on the movement of various sections have been included as comment boxes for clarification. The red-line changes to the normative portions of the standard (§1 - §7 and Appendix A) are open for review and comment. Unchanged portions of the document are provided for context.
