"Nothing can be more time consuming and frustrating for a technician than to find themselves on a job site preparing to charge a system with refrigerant only to realize they do not have a P-T chart, or know what the target superheat or subcooling should be," said ICOR VP Gordon McKinney. "Smartphones and electronic tablets are rapidly becoming a standard tool in the HVACR industry. ICOR’s mobile apps provide technicians and engineers with critical refrigerant-related information when and where they need it most.”
According to the company, the NU-22B calculator app will enable technicians to properly charge a system and optimize system performance. It is designed to operate like the cardboard version of the slide chart. The app is now available on the Apple App StoreSM and eventually ICOR will have versions for other platforms.

Website Upgrade
ICOR also announced it has a new and improved corporate website at www.icorinternational.com.
“As more technicians everyday rely upon web-based information sources to get their jobs done, ICOR has continued to develop its online services,” said McKinney. "We have consolidated critical information by product, optimized page transitions, and gave the site a fresh new look. It is a very popular site, and we will continue to invest our time and resources into improving the speed, ease of use, and content."
The ICOR website provides access to product specification and Material Safety Data Sheets, pressure-temperature charts, subcooling-superheat calculators, current and archived industry news and articles, and a number of educational videos and slide presentations.
