WESTPORT, Conn. — The 2014 AHR Expo, set for Jan. 21-23 in New York City, will be the largest HVACR exposition ever held in the Northeast, show management announced recently. More than 1,800 companies have reserved 387,000 square feet of booth space, exceeding the record-breaking exhibit space reserved for the 2008 AHR Expo in New York City by nearly 6 percent.
Clay Stevens, president, International Exposition Co., which produces and manages the AHR Expo, said these early statistics bode well for another very successful event. “The 2008 show in New York set several Northeast records and an all-time AHR Expo attendance record, which was subsequently narrowly surpassed by the 2012 show in Chicago,” Stevens said. “Based on the record amount of exhibit space already reserved, the attendee preregistration numbers, and the total hotel rooms booked, we could be on track for another record-breaking event.”
Stevens said 2014 attendee preregistration numbers and hotel room reservations are both running significantly ahead of the 2008 AHR Expo at the same point in time before the show. The 2008 AHR Expo attracted nearly 58,000 total visitors, including 39,000 attendees from over 138 countries.
“With economic expectations steadily improving, exhibitors will be unveiling hundreds of new products and a variety of energy-efficient solutions that HVACR professionals can experience for the first time at the world’s largest HVACR exposition,” Stevens said.
